TICKET PURCHASES GO LIVE APRIL 1st! Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, Big Fish centers on Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest… and then some! Edward's incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him—most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales. Overflowing with heart, humor and spectacular stagecraft, Big Fish is an extraordinary new Broadway musical that reminds us why we love going to the theatre—for an experience that's richer, funnier and bigger than life itself.
THIS IS A PREVIEW PERFORMANCE OF OUR UNDERSTUDIES!
What is a Preview performance?
A preview performance is a chance for the cast & directing team to "test out" our show with a live audience.
We want to make sure the story is clear to our audience members. We are listening to every laugh, sigh, and sound of confusion from you all! This will allow us to tweak and fine tune the wonderful story that is Big Fish, before our official opening night on Thursday April 20th at 7pm.
This specific preview will feature our understudies who have been working tirelessly at learning two entirely different tracks. A principal role & an ensemble role! Our understudy program ensures that we have people ready to cover a role should something happen to our principal actor/actress. It also allows for multiple students to receive the experience of a principal role.
This is also a chance for our technical (lights/sound/set) elements to have a go at a non-stop show. However- please note, if something goes completely wrong, we reserve the right to adjust & restart that moment.
Thank you for supporting the arts here at Metea Valley High School. We appreciate all of your feedback on this preview performance & will see you again at our final performances April 20, 21, 22 at 7pm!
